nathanNathan C. 34 year old, Traumatic Brain Injury
Nathan is a 35-year old former cyclist who suffered a severe traumatic brain injury in an automobile accident eight years ago. His prognoses while in a five month coma was pessimistic - even to survive. He had therapy periodically, but that had been sporadic and had essentially stopped.

When Satin Fitness entered Nathan’s life, Nathan’s life began anew. Their constant and consistent training coupled with positive verbal driving of Nathan has made Nathan progress to where he is walking up and down stairs, starting to ride a bike alone, and kayaking. Nathan continues to climb the hill toward returning to an ever-increasing functional life - and he recognizes that this is important to him. He adopted the philosophy of sLIFE and is proud to say he is now Satin Fit.

Coming out of a 9 month stay in a rehab hospital after suffering a brain injury with intense atrophy, Satin Fitness changed David’s life. During those 9 months, David could not even support his neck and he could barely walk.

By the time David came home he couldn’t do much more than walk and was still very weak. Satin Fitness changed all that by bringing his brain, body, muscles, and strength back, but infinitely more important we showed him how capable he was. We gave him new confidence which was hard to find, especially after a traumatic injury. The time we spent together was full of laughs and smiles, well encouraged training, and helped to get David back – and then some.

Caroline needed help to regain her strength due to aging and a recent stroke. She hadn’t realized how weak she was until Satin Fitness came in and showed her how to regain mobility. After a massive stroke which debilitated her almost totally, she was afraid that she would never be able to move again. After coming out of a Rehab hospital, Satin Fitness helped Caroline regain mobility and become independent again.
